Kumho R700 rally tires legal in stock class?

I ran these tires when I first started racing in the prepared class and I don't recall if being a DOT approved tire but I do remember seeing 'for competition use only' on the sidewall. There are several websites stating that this tire is DOT approved:

A driver is asking me if this tire is legal to use in the stock class, do you guys have any input? I want to say it isn't but can't say for certain.

Under Stock Class rules
Rule #2 tires says Tires marked “For competition only”,“Not for street use” or similar are not allowed.

They would be good in Prep or Mod, but not stock.
